  : This condo complex is very close to Turtle Bay beach, which is as protected as a beach can be on the North Shore in December - when beach access parking was full, we could just walk to the beach. There are short hikes and bike trails nearby that originate at Turtle Bay Resort, and no signs prohibiting walking on the golf course paths. Decor is impeccable and there was everything we needed without the junk. It was comparable to a high-end timeshare in terms of appearance and organization. This was also the only place available on the North Shore that had a pool and a kitchen. We did not use the pool much, and only discovered on our last day that it is heated to a very pleasant temperature. Owner/manager have done a good job maintaining this unit - I've read reviews from several years ago that mentioned it was recently renovated, these may well have been written several weeks ago - bedding/ towels/ furniture - everything was in excellent and new condition.
  : The unit is on the first floor, so there is a view of the golf course and backyard, but not too far out. Birds come to the birdfeeder, so that's a plus if you want to watch local birds, but you can't look very far out. There is a helicopter pad a little to the North, within the Turtle Bay Resort, they could be very briefly heard on/off starting after 7am - this would probably apply to most units in this complex, and not just this condo. This was not bothersome to me, as 7am HST = 11am CST, and we spent very little time inside the rental. I didn't hear any after sunset or during the times we were sleeping.
