  : The house is in the middle of a town, the photos make it look like its in the middle of the countryside. The garden is small and nowhere to run the dogs. The electrics dont look like they are safe, wires everywhere and so much furniture in the rooms and common areas that if there was a fire it would be deadly.

  : Maison de Charme! Old, carefully restaurated, decorated with pleasant and fitting antiquities, a very unusual and pretty assembly of individual rooms in a beautiful old mansion. Top. Fantastic breakfast joined with other guests, lovely garden open to all.

  : The garden is a lovely touch, being able to sit in the cool air and enjoy the lovely fruit trees and vegetable plot. The breakfast was lovely, lots of cheeses, fruit juices, croissants and bread. There were yoghurts, pots of apple puree and home made jams too. All served in a beautiful old dining room with vintage chinaware, totally delightful. It was nice to be able to bring the dog too, and he was warmly welcomed. Upstairs is also a full kitchen/diner for guests use, we just used it to put our coldbag in the fridge for the night, and to make coffee for our flask next day, but you could prepare your own meals there, and it was a charming space with views of the garden (see photo) Joinville is a revelation too, very pretty, with plenty of restaurants open on a Sunday and Monday night, a rare thing in mid France!, all easily walkable from the accommodation. We will definitely stay again, and book the brasserie in town for dinner.
  : The doors were a bit creaky in our attic room, but we mentioned this and the proprietor was going to WD40 them immediately. It was a very hot night at the top of the house, but we did have a big fan to help. The entrance is not terribly easy to find, but you press the bell on the left of the large doors. It's a big property and it takes a few minutes for someone to come, after that you get a key so you can come and go.
