  : Were picked up at the port and transported to rooms. The facilities were of a good standard. Place was clean and comfortable and price matched the level of facilities. Handy to port and restaurants. We were dropped back to port to catch our ferry.

  : I was picked up and dropped at the port to catch my ferry. My host gave me a choice between two apartments without extra charge. From my apartment in town I could see both the port and the mountains and hear the local women singing in a nearby taverna - absolutely wonderful! A lot of the tavernas and breakfast cafes were already open by the end of April.
  : It got really cold at night and I would have liked to have a couple of blankets or comforters at my disposal instead of relying on AC. A bottle of water in the fridge would have been a real bonus.

  : Dimitris, who runs the place, and Mrs Anthi (his mother) look after the rooms and guests excellently; Mrs Anthi never failed to ask, whenever I saw her, whether everything was OK (it was). The young lady who cleans the rooms does a great job - if anything, I had to beg her not to change the bedlinen every couple of days, which I found unnecessary. The studios are located right on the edge of the tiny village of Ai Giorgis, so it's only 3' on foot to the nearest, slightly upmarket tavern Akathi (delicious food), the all-day caf 'To Perasma' (also run by Dimitris) and to the multifunctional 'Melissa' - a 'kafeneio' and local hub that doubles as the island's post office, travel agency and one of just two (sparsely stocked) mini markets. The location is very convenient, if you choose to swim in Ai Giorgis (a tiny harbour beach, but the water looks clean); it's about 20' on foot from the main beach of Livadi. In terms of practicalities: - The mattress is very comfy and the fridge is quiet. - All windows are double-glazed and fitted with insect screens. - The kitchenette is perfectly adequate for preparing simple meals, as, indeed, I and most other (nice and friendly) guests I met did. - The tap water comes from the local desalination plant and is absolutely fine to drink. You will be offered bottled water wherever you go, but I personally don't like unnecessary plastic waste. - The terrace is shared. You will have a table and folding chairs outside your room, but if privacy is important, maybe this isn't the place for you. - Most guests I met were discreet and quiet. Not the right place for loud conversations and music. - Most rooms overlook the small orchard and the village, but at the far end of the terrace, you can enjoy views of the Aegean - and of the sunset.
  : Minor details: - For some reason, there's no shower bracket in the otherwise elegant and roomy bathroom, so, a hands-free shower is not possible. - Currently, the curtains dim, but don't block light; however, Mrs Anthi informed me that these will be replaced with proper blackout curtains. - To enjoy sea views, you have to be sun-resistant, as there's no shade at that end of the terrace. - The French windows double as doors. You can lock them (tilted or closed), but it's a bit fiddly to draw the curtains before you go, if you don't want people prying into your room, as there are no shutters.

  : Hosts meet their guests off the ferry. Although it6a small place, that's welcome when the ferry is an hour late at 2am! Short drive then shown your room, which is spacious & can take up to 4. Spotlessly clesn, simply decorated & furnished. Not sure how useful the kitchenette is given there's only two mini-markets in the village. Bit maybe if you stay a week or so? Otherwise lrakli has limited facilities with itd small population ranging 100-170ish. Simple quiet life with plenty of P&Q. Cockerel chorus in the morning, some birdsong & so quiet you can hear when people speak! Sunset lives up to its name with stunning dusks to be seen on the large terrace.
  : Can't day snything. 2 nights one day only, but will go back. In keeping with Greek optimism, distances & walking times are way under reality. Walking to the cave is not 70 minuted, sllow twice or three times that just to get there! It's uphill 90% of the way on a rough track for half that. Luxury lovers should stay on Mykonos or Dantorini. Irakli is for escapees from stress & simple life seekers.

  : The studio had a large terrace with a sea view. It was very quiet and peaceful. The studio was large and very clean. The host asked me regularly if I needed anything.

  : At the end of the village so no property in the way of the sunset. Being at the end made it very peaceful as well.
  : Although nothing was wrong, maybe the property could be modernised slightly.
