  : No personal touch when mentioned it was a stay straight after getting married. Felt it was very expensive for how basic it was and seemed quite old fashioned. Bed and pillows were not comfortable and bed was small to say it was a superior double.

  : It was close to where we wanted to be.
  : Although we had booked a basic room we didn't expect it not to be clean. There were cobwebs in the bathroom and dust along the top of the wooden bedframe. The heating was turned up to a ridiculous temperature which made it too uncomfortable to relax in the room. We had to go out much sooner than we had planned. We were told it looked onto a court yard. Yes, it did but the walls of the spa were just feet away and were full of scaffolding. I knew the spa was closed for renovation but didn't realise our view would be part of it ! We had heavy rainfall that night, and the down pipe from the guttering sounded like a waterfall. It didn't sound like it went into a drain. Just letting the water gush all over said courtyard. Lovely noise! The shower screen didn't serve any purpose as it was too small, so when we showered, the water went all over the bathroom floor. A slip hazard waiting to happen. It's a good job we were aware and placed a towel on the floor. Just a double bed that had the hardest mattress ever, so not a comfortable restful sleep. Not that we got much sleep, what with the heat and the water feature.
