  : Rating our stay is a bit difficult since our accommodation had potential; however, the non-functioning central heat in a tipi on a 30 degree night and then being terrorized by the owner made for the worst vacation experience we have ever had.
  : Around 8a following a very cold night, the owner drove up to the tipi and demanded that we leave by 11a. My husband, young daughter and I were due to stay one more night. Reason? Because my husband had supposedly threaten to tear the place apart. Rewind ... around midnight when my husband woke to a significantly colder room, he called the emergency number. The wife of the owner's son answered. My husband explained the situation, and said that if no additional blankets could be provided, he would be using the $45 blankets for sale around the tipi at no additional charge in order to keep his wife and child warm. (The owner has not just blankets, but other items like jewelry, arrowheads, syrup and winter attire for sale in your personal room.) Fast forward ... after asking us to leave, she entered our room (with our permission) to attempt to fix the heat. During our encounter with her, she blamed the non-functioning heat on user error, raised her voice at me when I was explaining to my daughter why someone was in our room, took pictures of our possessions, and recorded our conversation when I asked how a amicable late night phone call turned into demanding we leave the property. The owner then notified booking.com that she canceled our second night since we broke policy. She also sent us an email stating, "You will receive your full refund as promised as soon as I am sure, you're not going to leave me a retaliatory bad review... ." When my husband asked for clarification, she eventually stated that we needed to contact booking.com for a refund. The customer service at booking.com was attentive, apologetic and fully refunded both our nights.

  : We enjoyed the camp.
  : My family & I frequently stay at vacation rentals, so I can tell you that the host’s behavior was really bizarre. We left the property with what I would consider normal condition, of course it could use basic cleaning before the next guests. A few days later, I received an unexpected $65 fee & an unprofessional message “you really left my place in a mess.” I probably would have paid $65 more going into the experience, for basic cleaning that is usually included, but I didn’t appreciate the strange interactions. If it wasn’t for the host’s ugly attitude, I would have stayed there again. Luckily there is no shortage of cool places to stay in Hot Springs.

  : At first we weren’t going to have the free breakfast because we booked through you, but after a phone call they were kind enough to bring us some breakfast items so we could cook them each morning. Our Cabin was absolutely amazing, it was so peaceful and beautiful.
  : Didn’t get to meet ma and pa, read through some of their book they have and seems like they usually visit their guest??? Makes you wonder why they didn’t stop by.

  : We loved the entire setup. The grandson now thinks we need to buy a tipi for our back yard.
  : The little lights above the bed didn’t work. We were afraid to use anything because we were afraid of the stiff rules and penalties if things weren’t as clean as when we arrived. There was a slight drip above the door of the tipi and we just hope we don’t get charged a fee for it making the rug wet. Someone kept coming in and out from a nearby location with a loud vehicle. Maybe could have located tipi further back from road noise. But over all we enjoyed the stay.
