  : Great location providing easy access to those wanting to do the Haute Route Stage 9. It's very convenient for public transport: we took the post bus from Sion and the bus stop is literally outside the hotel. Good breakfast offering delicious bircher muesli, fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal, break + jam, coffee tea etc. Bathroom was clean with a good strong shower! We had 2 rooms - beautiful mountain views from both.
  : The walls were thin so sound travelled easily from the corridors and other rooms, although people were quiet after about 10pm.

  : Location excellent, very nice traditional. little village. Superb center for hikes in the mountains. Large nice balcony overlooking charming bus square and good.. Not many facilities,, but charming traditional hotel, nice staff.
  : Wifi unstable. Breakfast okay but rather expensive.

  : Nice place, the room was clean, breakfast was of good quality, free parking. Differently from other reviews, the place was quiet during the night (we had the last room at the end of the corridor). The location is great if you want to visit the Arolla glacier (just 20 mins far by car).
  : The room has only some curtains and light is entering from the windows, the bathtub is fine but a bit uncomfortable because the holder for the shower bric is too low and there was some mould on the wall.

  : The room was clean, and the mountain view from the room and relatively large balcony was nice. Interaction with hotel staff was ok, not unfriendly, although also not really friendly compared to other experiences in the region. The breakfast buffet didn't have much selection, but was reasonable, albeit overpriced at CHF 14.
  : Disclosure: I'm comparing this place to other hotels in the region from own experience. The interior of the hotel is old and aged and is in need of a refurbishment. It's definitely not "rustic" in a good way. The experience reminded me more of a hostel than a hotel. The rates on this site (CHF 127 for a room with single occupation) are way too high, especially without breakfast (which is another CHF 14). For a total of CHF 141, one can expect a much better value. A bit more than half the price (CHF 70-90) would be more appropriate in my opinion. Keep in mind though that the direct rates are much lower and roughly in line with this estimate. The restaurant is closed, probably an indirect victim of Covid. However, there are some restaurants close-by. There were two single beds (80cm width), of which only one was made up, which is neither nice nor hygienic. I am tall and found the bed not too comfortable.

  : We asked for a 3-bed room - there was no reaction from the hotel and Booking replied that there were only 2-bed rooms. When we were there - there were suddenly free rooms for 3 people. Something like that spoils the stay unfortunately clearly.
