  : Perfect location for exploring Northumberland. Pretty little courtyard garden and lovely walks.
  : Cottage was very dark - had to have lights on most of the time - but this is not a fault.

  : The cottage is very well equipped and clean. Everyone we to spoke was very helpful and friendly.We particularly enjoyed sitting in the small garden watching the many birds... A lovely peaceful setting.
  : Very little.....The only thing we found that could be improved was the TV was set too high and wherever you sat you ended up with an uncomfortable neck.

  : I loved the location , the simple old style decor and fittings, lots of kitchen equipment. I liked the helpful contact with Lyn who is very knowledgeable and helpful. Also , I did not use my car all week! the 685 bus, ( use stagecoach it is double decker ) , runs hourly and is a beautiful route, and Haltwhistle station is only a brief walk away . Both bus and train run along Hadrians Wall, Newcastle to Carlisle.
  : Directions to the parking space and key location could have been easier . . . but I'm not good at such things and I was tired and it was raining ! Instructions for white goods would have been useful.

  : Everything was essentially okish, the cottage is just very dated. The beds and pillows were very lumpy and uncomfortable. The decor needs to be updated, the shower seal was broken. The tiles in the living room make the cottage feel very cold and all of downstairs smells strongly of dog, the cushions need to be washed or replaced as does the rug if youre going to allow dogs to stay. No WiFi. The towels need to be replaced, as do the tea towels and oven gloves.
