On the banks of the Göta Canal Wassbacken Vandrarhem has a popular café and restaurant and a private beach. Mariestad is just 28 km away while the smaller town of Töreboda is only 10 km away. Wassbacken offers simple accommodation with shared bathroom facilities.
Cottages come with a small kitchenette including a cooking hob fridge and coffee machine and they also have access to a larger shared kitchen. The site has its own shop and in the summer there is often live entertainment at the café which serves freshly cooked meals and pastries. Bikes canoes and motor boats can be rented at Wassbacken while on-site activities include mini golf and boules.
Karlsborg and Lake Vättern are 40 km away and Skövde is 38 km to the south.
