: As soon as we arrived at the accommodation, they treated us to delicious Icelandic-style waffles, and the next day, Grandpa's homemade breakfast was special and delicious. There's also a hot spring bath that we can use, which is very relaxing.

: This guesthouse is managed by friendly Smi, who welcomed me with tea and homemade waffles. One night, he cooked a vegan sweet potato soup and a meat pie for all guests. The guests were sitting together with Smi at the same table and it immediately felt like a close and cozy family gathering and enabled lots of socializing among the guests until deep in the evening. The breakfast was similar and there were lots of things to choose from, such as cereals, porridge and waffles. The kitchen is used by Smi but can also be used by the guests. It is well equppied and a dish washer is available. The building is decorated nicely and feels very Icelandic. Rooms are comfortable and the bathroom clean. Very nice and peaceful area with many hikes and guided tours being available.
: Communication with Smi was sometimes a bit difficult, as his English is not the best. Not a good location if you prefer staying anonymously and do not wish to interact with other people.

: Delightful surprise country home, generous host with waffle/coffee welcome and great home made breakfast. Great location not too far from Reyk and a major glacier if you have the right car. We were very fortunate and saw the Arora Borealis even in Sept.
: Property is a charming old one, top floor had almost vertical steps and shower didn't drain well. None of this took away from the enjoyment of this lucky find.

: Warm rooms with plenty of space for four and private bathroom too. Dinner and breakfast from the host was lovely and a real treat, eating with the other guests. Quiet and peaceful location that makes for a good aurora spot if the clouds keep away. Great location for husafell and reykholt.
: If you don't want to eat dinner with the rest of guests/want your own space / want somewhere with more amenities etc you're better off staying in a hotel.
