  : This was our first Icelandic guesthouse experience. We enjoyed getting to know Freida, the owner - her English is excellent. We loved the view out the window of the garden next door. We had rm #4, next to the bathroom. All the guests were respectful of other people's needs to use the bathroom & kitchen. Everyone was quiet. The beds were very comfortable. There were good books in the common area and the long-handled showhorn was a plus. We felt very safe at Hamrlhlid. The town has 2 fantastic places for coffee. Frida gave us good advice about road conditions.
  : For my sensitive nose, the linens had a strong detergent smell. The kitchen has enough basic equipment but seating is awkward and cramped. It would really help to have more bathmats! Be aware that this guesthouse is not high-end, it's basic and homey.

  : A clean, comfortable and well equipped guesthouse. It had everything we needed and the location was perfect with Kirkjufell only a short drive away. Would happily stay again.

  : Bathroom - I recommend that each bedroom has a mirror. This will free up the one bathroom for others to use especially in the morning.

  : It was warm, great living room and kitchen, great location next to kirkjufell.The host was extremely friendly and welcoming.
  : Bathroom couldve been cleaner, but it wasnt so bad.

  : Basic guesthouse with shared kitchen, which was well stocked. Location was central in a cute town with several restaurants to choose from. Beds were very comfortable.
  : Bathroom was shared with 5 guest rooms which is a bit much.
