  : The bathroom was tiny (I was the only person staying in the 10 bed room so I had the bathroom to myself and it was still uncomfortably small), and there was no toilet paper or soap in the dorm toilet or the communal ones in the corridor.

  : Very good hostel double room that had air con and a TV. Although small the ensuite shower/toilet was very good. Hostel included other communal areas and is part of the large Martini Hotel. Was allowed to bring my bike into the room which was a great help. The location was superb in the centre of Groningen. You can also have a reasonably priced breakfast at the Hotel.

  : The location was good and the bedding was clean, each bed had a towel - that was it. Other than that the hostel seriously lacked any extra conveniences.
  : The room was significantly different (and smaller?) than the room shown in the photos while booking. The room was unnecessarily crowded with furniture: There were three beds in our twin room (one bunk, one normal) - imagining that we would have slept with a third person, they would sleep with their feet/face in the face of the person in the lower bunk bed. The top bunk bed was severely sagged. The sheets for some reason were so noisy that any movement would be audible for everyone in the room. The halls were extremely loud, people were yelling, and banging on walls and doors, on several occasions throughout the night (lasting for minutes at a time), completely disrespecting the rules for quiet after 10pm. When we brought this up with the host at the front desk he said: "That's kind of the risk of staying at a hostel" (this might be true, but good hostels have some kind of supervision to prevent this noise from affecting their other guests). Safe to say, we did not sleep well. Finally, this hostel could use some conveniences such as a tray to put your phone on by the outlet (the outlet was too high above the top bunk bed for the phone to rest on the bed and there were no outlets other than by the bed), or more than half a toilet roll (we were given two nearly finished rolls), and any (hand) soap in the bathroom. Both of our phones had no cellular connection in the room, but for the Wi-Fi password we had to go back to the reception (it's not that hard to put that info in the room or let your guest know at check-in before they go to their room...)
