  : Everyone at the hotel was great and very helpful. The room was, IMO, as per most hotel rooms, overheated. The bed was very soft, the facilities all good but the absolute minimum of what could be "got away with".My bedhead backed onto the kitchen and I was awoken by the inevitable noises associated with getting breakfast for many underway. I was also kept awake by adjoining rooms having alarm clocks that kept going off repeatedly on "snooze".The breakfast was plentiful but entirely processed fare. The cutlery was the bare minimum pressed steel rubbish that could be called cutlery.I appreciate that my visit to the area coincided with that of Taylor Swift and that might have had something to do with the almost £200/night price tag (I was up supporting a disabled sailing event as a volunteer for two nights - cost matters in these circumstances) - would that there had been alternatives I could easily have gone to - I would have thought the price paid was more than double what it was worth.

  : It was convenient for work, the bed was comfortable so I slept well and the staff were friendly.
  : I discovered in the morning that the door to my room wasn’t locked (and despite trying, wouldn’t lock), the tea tray had sticky spoons suggesting they’d not been washed up. Dinner wasn’t an option (nothing on site and the pub next door wasn’t serving food for some reason).

  : Unfortunately we didn't get to stay here because the room was cancelled by this hotel due to building works. The hotel informed booking.com & booking.com told me by text on 1st June, but only that the room was cancelled, with no further help or advice as to what we had to do next. We arrived at HIE anyway & reception explained that no other room was availble! Reception there kindly arranged a room for us at Best Western which was wonderful. Very disappointed and confused by inadequate aid for finding another room. We won't use Booking.com again.
