  : It’s close to our house, allowing us to get away, even if only for one night, but in case of any problems, we could be back home with our kids in 15 minutes. The rooms are nice and comfortable, the staff is also very nice and helpful, the breakfast is very good and offers a lot of variety. The rooms are affordable and offer a great value. The location is very easy to get to and the fact that they offer parking is very nice. As Americans (living in Germany), we’ve stayed at Best Western properties many times ever since we were kids and staying at this location in Giessen is something we really treasure as it feels a little like home and for that we genuinely enjoy staying there. The service is great! I was under the impression, I had booked a room with AC, but it turned out I did not. I contacted the property about a week before our stay and explained my situation. The representative responded with such a nice message and said he would do his best to switch us to a room with AC. Upon arrival, the same rep checked us in and after I brought up our email exchange about the AC, he looked into it and was able to switch us into a room with AC. He was very nice and it was really great that he helped us out like that! The room was great! The attached balcony was perfect, as all the rooms are non-smoking and in the past my husband was gone most of the stay, running up and down to go smoke outside. The balcony offered the perfect solution and the view was also really nice.
  : While watching TV and using the air conditioner, all of the sudden a fuse blew and we lost power/function to the TV, the AC, the bathroom lights and power/lights on the wall where the TV hung. My husband went straight down to reception to explain the problem. The representative was very nice, unfortunately she didn’t quite understand what the actual problem was, she suggested maybe the batteries for the remote(s) needed to be replaced, and even though my husband is an electrician, he didn’t want to come across rude or anything, but said he didn’t think it was the batteries. The representative said she would check in the fuse box to make sure and then stop by our room. She did come upstairs right away, checked the fuse box and found a fuse had blown in our room, fixed the problem and stopped by to let us know. Excellent service! Unfortunately, a little while later it happened again. We were laying in bed, watching tv and “pop” : power gone. This time I called down to reception and explained that it happened again. The representative was a little confused or something, she asked me if we had plugged any additional items in, such as a hair straightener. I explained that we were simply laying in bed, using the AC and watching Tv and out of nowhere, the fuse blew. She came up again right away, I was using the (dark) bathroom at the time and could hear her and someone else at the fuse box and that they had to switch it back on again. Everything came back on again but we were so worried about it happening again, we decided to not run the AC anymore to try and avoid having to go through that again.

Spa and quick swimming was amazing, Breakfast is good with lots of options. my wife lost her ring during changing rooms and was found after check out. Can’t be more greatfull. Short walk to city, Recommend and for sure will be back on my next visit to giessen
