  : Not all the information on booking.com matched the information at the property e.g. there was a mix up with the payment. The staff at the reception was not that friendly and did not provide much information. Cleanliness in the room could be improved.

  : Spectacular position; good transport links; good breakfast; good sized bathtub as well as shower.
  : Hotel is right next to the road so road noise a problem unless windows and door to balcony left shut - not a good option when weather was hot and room had no aircon. but only an electric fan. Room was marketed as superior, with balcony and lake view but was on the end of the building on corner nearest the road, so view of lake was not ideal and road noise a problem (see above).

  : It was an oversight booking this hotel as the initial plan was to stay at Luscerne. We contacted the hotel to cancel the room free of charge or at least reduce cancellation fees, no one from the hotel responded. We therefore went along with the plan and checked out one night before (with no refund) as the hotel staff made us feel unwelcome. The hotel staff at the restaurant were unfriendly (Italian lady and a senior local lady) and so overwhelmed with their work. Not sure if they are not used to tourists or it was a form of racial discrimination. My partner was charged full breakfast price for ordering an americano at breakfast which was later refunded when we pointed that out during checkout. We tried to sit outside on the deck area of the restaurant during breakfast to enjoy the views and the senior lady who did not speak English told us we cant sit outside in a strong, rude tone and pointed to a table at the corner of the restaurant where other customers were seated as well. We were not informed of this at any point during checkin process and we do not understand why she said that. Shower gel and Shampoo was watered down to an extent where it made no point of placing them in the first place. The views a beautiful to take a stroll by the lake. Apart from that theres not much to do in Gersau. Wouldnt recommend the hotel or the area for anyone whos traveling to Switzerland for the very first time. If it wasnt for the view which theyre blessed to have, I will rate this hotel a 0/10. I would strongly recommend the hotel staff to go through extensive customer services trainings for the hotel to serve their customers right and avoid future feedbacks like this.
