  : Breakfasts were fabulous- better than any deluxe hotel! Host was very accommodating. Room was charming and bed quite comfortable. Water views outside our window were so beautiful. And it was very quiet!

  : The breakfast was amazing - home cooked surprises every morning. The strawberry and rhubarb crisp was to die for. Our room (Sheepscott Suite) was beautifully decorated with a toasty warm fire and a balcony offering a view over the water. Beautiful remote, quiet location.

  : Lovely location at the water. It is a bit off the road which I was looking for. The host made a reservation in a lovely restaurant for us.

  : The owner/host Bob cooks a great breakfast. However, we did notice what seemed to be cigar smoke wafting into the breakfast room immediately following breakfast each morning of our stay.
  : This area is very remote, but most choose Coveside for that very reason. You may wish to check the tide schedule during your visit before booking if you are expecting the 'cove' to be ideal. It sits on a narrow closed-in type cove with limited sunlight - a tall stand of trees blocks the southern exposure, and the tide is quite varied. During our stay, high tide occurred near midnight and noon - both times when we were not able to see more of a 'cove'. Unfortunately, we only experienced low tide when the cove looked more like a mud flat near the Inn. There are kayaks available to use, and Adirondack chairs on the sloping lawn - you will likely need bug spray.The Inn could use some maintenance and seems 'tired'. But perhaps the owner prefers it in this state. The exterior of the property needs some help - the screen door opening onto a porch off of our room was broken and the mesh screen quite frayed - likely it has been in that state for some time. The uninviting patio adjacent was very weedy with some weeds so large they appeared to have been left to grow for many months unattended. The interior furniture is 80's style Craftsman design throughout - greens/golds/oranges/yellows. The bed in our room was very uncomfortable and the linens were not of high quality as most travelers would expect for this price point. The bedding included a white eyelet bed skirt that had yellowed from age, and an eclectic-colored quilt. A vase with dusty silk flowers sat on the dresser. The bathroom had a few broken floor tiles that left sharp edges of broken grout - we covered that area with a bathmat for safety. The tile near the tub edge had mildew and the shower curtain was only a simple white liner that had pink mildew along the bottom. Everything just lacked attention to detail. The TV and Wi-fi were challenging at best, and one night the gas fireplace didn't work at all.

  : Truly lovely spot, quiet and secluded. Not for swimming but on the high tide you can kayak about. Low tide is really a mud flat.
  : Not much interaction with the hosts. No-one to greet upon arrival. Odd for the price paid. Not a friendly vibe for a B&B.
