Disappointing
Traveller Type: Traveling as Couple
  : Lovely place, nice garden with trees, mountain view spectacular, very quiet and peaceful. Hard to get to but GPS saves all. Plenty of room in our suite, conditioner heated things up quickly.
  : Box breakfast, carbs (not great for a diabetic) and juices, milk, yogurt. Usual supermarket fare. It was left in our room the evening before. Underwhelming. Nice coffee machine and kettle, but no plugs. So no espresso for us. When we arrived the sheets and pillows were damp! Needed a couple of hours of AC to dry things out for us. (In our rental we always adjust the climate before the guests arrive.) Facilities were OK, but cleanliness was lacking. The garbage from the previous guests still in the bin! The refrigerator was not plugged in/working. Oil, vinegar: empty. Shower base, kitchen and bathroom sink, and burners, lamp bases, all were a bit crusty with residue. Shower curtain needed a bleach and wash. Peeling paint in the bathroom. Toothbrush cup encrusted, ugh. I had the impression that the managers just didn't have their heart in it. Guestbook was missing pages, and quite out of date, hmmm. We slept OK, but the price was very high for this (lack of) quality. But our main complaint is with the listing. I reserved because it said the location was "11.5 kilometers" from Pescasseroli, our original destination. Well: this is an aerial "as the crow flies" measurement, apparently! So, not being birds, our GPS accurately told us the property was 35 MILES away from the town, almost an hour of twisting forest roads. This is not acceptable, as I would never have booked knowing the distance. No dinner in Pescasseroli for us that night! Disappointed.
