  : Fantastic location in a very beautiful part of the city (on a small island). Just next to wonderful parks (great for our football-loving family), water, wooden-boat-harbour and -workshop and the "Chapel of Hope" and Fredrikstad museum, just amazing. In the midst of great green areas and old fortification buildings and other ancient buildings (the particular building we stayed in was built in to a great stone wall. Wonderful walks, views, close to free city ferry (electrical and free - how great isn't that!! Take a tour through the whole city in which the river flows). Our family appreciates shared kitchen facilities and the dining area was beautiful. Note that you share bathroom with others (very good shower!!). Some negative aspect may be that the windows in our room could not be closed =), but since it was summer we needed it open anyway. BUT - be prepared to suffer some noise if the very large wooden tables outside get occupied with local youth in the summer evenings.
  : Building interior needs renovation. Both necessary things such as windows and doors, but also interior decoration.

  : Location is great. Building is historical probably. There is a kitchen, freezer, dishes and a dishwasher. It could be a great place, if owners would invest some of the money back into the hotel. And it definitely requires Ramsay in the kitchen to make it clean. Was given a shower towel.
  : Stay was terrible - my room was on the first floor near the entrance - could hear people entering PIN on the door, opening and closing it. Room's door handle broken, shower heads leaking/broken, room's locker full of somebodies staff - no where to hand my clothes, kitchen is filthy - kitchen hoods never cleaned, some things are broken in the kitchen and never fixed. Room soundproofing is 0 - could hear everybody going to toilet. No hand towel, no shampoo, no shower soap or gel.

  : The location was perfect, in the middle of the city, with easy access to other parts of town and the islands.
  : We ended up in the darkest hostel we have ever been in. Our bedroom was dark with little space, and the shared sitting room and kitchen were even darker, with very little windows for daylight. The kitchen was too old to use. Many photos on the site show parts of the hostel which do not belong to the house we stayed in - this was a real disappointment.

  : It was a very sweet place to be at.
  : I would have liked to get the information on how to enter via email instead of SMS. I needed to download the SMS so I didn't get the text until I was told I got one and had to search for it. I didn't find any WiFi even though the website said it would be available. Also I didn't find a kitchen to prepare any food, not even a water cooker. I tried to contact the given number again to ask about these things but didn't get any reply.

  : Free parking. Charming place and island, apart from the noice described it was tranquil. Free ferry to the city center and old town.
  : Very small beds. Poor door, very simple lock and not sound isolated. There were two weddings in neighbouring houses the first night, the one closest to our place disturbed until 4-ish in the morning. We had picked the location to have a quiet surrounding.
