Hillside House Suites & Spa

Wonderful

: Very kind and helpful staff. Amazing view, good breakfast, bubble bath and pool.
: Low availability of taxis to and from the hotel for ad hoc trips which has more to do with the location and not with the hotel. I would recommend planning your trips or to travel with a (rental) car. Staff does help with booking a taxi upon request!

: Modern & luxurious hotel.Very nice infinity pool and Jacuzzi with a view of the lagoon.
: Not the fault of the hotel, but: Foz de Arelho is generally pretty dead - Only very few restaurants with limited opening hours. Big caravan park at the closest beach to the hotel.Breakfast "okay" but underwhelming for the price tag of the hotel.

Very Poor

  : nothing
: Worst customer service ever, do not stay at this place!! I travelled all around the world and stayed at so many different hotels and hostels and never encountered such horrible customer service in my life. The way this hotel treated me and my husband is what would be considered unfair and unethical practices and treatment towards customers. They took my money via their website (not booking) and later when I called to check if my booking is confirmed as there was no confirmation from them, the receptionist shouted at me, misspelled and mispronounced my named Nika as nxgxr and put the phone down on me. Later and for the next 3 days my and my husbands calls to discuss this were ignored. I was really shocked by such behaviour. i complained to Booking.com as the way we were treated is unacceptable, racist and unethical to say the least. The manager Vnia Roberto also promised 50% refund and never sent the money back. They also somehow tweaked my booking details to show as if i paid 437 eur to them and not 875 EUR. This hotel does not only know how to treat their guests, but are also extremely rude, unethical and racist. what can i say, i really hope you do not stay too long in this business, this is not the way to treat people and especially working in hospitality.

: Well planned and organised hotel, small and quite. Great breakfast and onfinity pool.
: Quite small room but nice view.

: very kind and knowledgeable staff. nice location.
: screaming children in the hot tub and the pool (these were just outside our room so we heard this all of the four days we were there). zero air conditioning so the room was unbearably hot at times - and we had to keep the doors open to get any air - loud as mentioned above. we tried staying out of the room most of the time but chose this booking to relax. doors were locked at night causing (audible) confusion from some guests if they forgot the code.

: The hotel was located a short walk away from the busy (high season) Obidos lagoon. The staff were lovely and super helpful. Vanya at reception was very patient with my queries and very kindly offered to post something I left behind. The breakfast was amazing. Beds super-comfy. Jacuzzi the best I ever tried. Highly recommend hiring electric mountain bikes and cycling round the lagoon to Bom Sucesso as the other side of the lagoon is a nature reserve with flamingos! The lagoon is amazing for swimming if you dont fancy being battered by huge waves in the ocean.
: Obidos is a very busy family resort The rooms are on the small side but with outdoor balcony they suffice.

: Nice view and balcony area. Clean. Good breakfast, great shower and towels. Modern and well presented.
: Room was described as a suite, but it wasnt, it was a small double room. Bedside tables and tv table were stylish, but small and impractical - limited space to put anything. We had misread and thought it was a hotel where wed be able to get meals/drinks but it wasnt so had to go out to eat and whilst there were places in walking distance quite a few were closed (last week of September)- lesson learned, will check properly in future. Bar was advertised but there wasnt one. Also different to our interpretation of a spa, as only a jacuzzi and swimming pool but no treatments.
