  : It is a classic building with the feel of a castle. We had a room with a shared bathroom, which made us a little skeptical, but it was always very clean. In the same building there is a pub where we spent our evenings, very fun and pleasant.
  : The mattress in our room was a bit old and made noises when you turned over, which was tiring for light sleepers like me.

  : Only had breakfast on the first morning. The meal was great but the serving area was poor, tables not clear! Only staff on duty was the chef. No coffee was served. The poor experience meant I didn’t have breakfast for the rest of my stay there.

  : They advertise parking but the only parking is public carpark or on street, this should be made more clear.

  : Breakfast was superb.Staff member who greeted us was a lovely person and sorted us out as was the girl who attended to us at breakfast.Very Comfortable bed, with ensuite in room.Earplugs provided for snoring/outside noise or both!
  : Town hall clock chiming every hour.Seagulls noise.Noise from people talking outside but it's a pub so we understand this so don't really have an issue.Basically, the negatives are environmental from outside and beyond the hotel's control.

  : As a walker this hotel is in a good location for transport to other areas and to explore Forres.The hotel is clean and comfortable and the staff pleasant and helpful.
