  : The location, the swimming pool in the garden, the little working water mill that was still being used to grind corn, and the woodland view from each of the six apartments. This, and the peace and tranquillity of the little valley in which it was all set, all ensured that it was to be rather a magical place. An extra dimension was that the owner, who ran a bakery business in an adjacent village, each morning delivered warm bread rolls and a loaf for breakfast. She was very attentive in ensuring that we should be comfortable and enjoy our stay. One morning she took the time to show us around the mill and explain how it worked. She used it herself to grind the corn for her own business, so it made for a fascinating treat.
  : The property was difficult to find owing to it being reached by a a track from the main road. The track was difficult to locate. A phone call to the owner resolved things straight away.

  : Sofa bed was uncomfortable and pool could be cleaner. Pool was very cold, but you will get used to it

  : Need a car to get to the location. There are no shops or restaurants nearby. This information should be clearly mentioned so that people booking the property are aware and come prepared.

  : Rather plain breakfast in comparison to other Portuguese places we visited.

  : Secluded, but well looked after. The host and her staff are really responsive and truly care for their guests. We enjoyed our little cabin, even though it was too cold to make use of the swimming pool already. It's a pretty and very tranquil place and we enjoyed it very much.
  : You have to be willing to drive to get to everything. I was surprised that we had to drive almost 20 minutes just to find a market that was open (all we wanted to buy was eggs!)
