Monte Borboleta

: It's a beautiful new space on top of a cliff. We were visiting in December, and literally we could have been living in the clouds. The apartment was spacious and the owner was very hospitable and friendly and did everything to make our stay comfortable. The place even has a small kitchenette and a balcony.
: It's very very far from the town, on top of a hill. Although we booked the place (and paid for it) we didn't end up staying there since it was so far from the town. There is literally nothing to do around and no restaurants nearby. Not recommended if you don't have a car to go around (which we didn't). Also this place is in Loul, and we wanted to stay in Faro (which we later learnt were two different places quite a distance apart).

: Beautiful converted Portuguese buildings. Great garden with beautiful sea views. Short drive from Faro airport and from here you can visit the entire Algarve.
: Pool was a bit cold.
