  : Owner was asleep in his own bed when we arrived and gave some sarcastic comments about us arriving unannounced, despite being booked in from a certain time. Had to ring him to wake him up to give us the keys (3pm). He then proceeded to carry on with his sarcasm, treating us like idiots - this is how you work a shower, this is how you turn on the TV, please don’t leave a ring around the bath. Etc etc. This carried on for the next 20 mins. I’ve left you some fruit (bruised apples) I’ve left you some chocolate in the fridge (1 chocolate biscuit, for a 4 year old) I’ve left some beer in the fridge (2 cans of cider, clearly left by a previous occupant). The list goes on. Advertised as an executive luxury suite. Do me a favour, the furniture and decor is from the 1960’s. Booked for 4 nights, stayed for 1. Absolutely shocking experience and despite trying to reason with owner, he was not interested in any conversation and stated the obvious. No wonder he expects payment to his own account before you arrive as you would not pay after you had seen the suite. Not for me. Like I say, personally I did not in any way enjoy the experience.
