  : We had 2 situations ( breakfast taking an hour to come and wines on the list not being available) where communicating the issues to the guest would have made life much easier especially for the staff.

  : Cute little hotel with a beautiful restaurant and shared lounges to relax in. Our room was pretty and had a terrace and a lovely view of the sea which we could have enjoyed more if it wasnt for the storm.
  : Unfortunately we didnt feel like it lived up to expectations and for the money we paid. Our room for one night cost more than most London hotels of a similar level, and we stayed during the off season. The bathroom in our room was quite old and shabby. We had dinner and breakfast which were very tasty but lacking that something that would have made it spectacular and on par with the Michelin style cooking they are going for. In total we paid close to 600 for a one night stay, which didnt really exceed our expectations.

  : Location. Great decor. First rate food. The chicken liver starter was as good as any foie gras: the mocha soufle with cardoman ice cream and toffee sauce was outstanding.

  : Wonderful Sea views. Nice room with beachy theme. Clean and comfortable bed. Lovely restaurant and wine, Staff most attentive. Lovely outdoor furniture inviting you into the garden with a book if the weather were better! Delightful private beach very convenient for the sea-swimmers!
  : Liked everything about the Driftwood except that it was very expensive to stay (200 per night would be a good price for our small room v 350?!) and very expensive to eat (no other choices nearby) and at the best part of 600 for one night for a couple, it represented poor value overall. I am sorry to report that the Driftwood was the least good value of all the lovely places in Cornwall that we stayed on this trip?!

  : We loved that it overlooked the sea and had a balcony.
  : It would have been better with more places to hang towels in the bathroom and also if there had been tea and coffee making facilities in the room.
