: Excellent location, close enough to the railway station. Very quiet area with pleasant walks tight nearby. Both restaurants on the property are excellent and well worth a visit.
: On the morning of my second day there I informed the front desk that I did not want any housekeeping services. Upon my return from exercise, obviously, housekeeping had entered anyway and replaced all the towels and neatened up the room. Waste of time and effort, and a bit of an invasion of privacy ...

: The location is excellent. The breakfast was very good
: We have been staying at this hotel twice a year (on our way to and from Greece) for many years. We have always appreciated the calm, the service, the excellent restaurant and the welcome. This year we were extremely disappointed and shall probably be looking for another hotel in the future. We had announced our arrival for 18.00. The room was entirely unheated. After setting the thermostat at 22C we waited half an hour but the room still remained unheated. I rang the reception (totally unsatisfactory welcome and attitude) and was informed that they were going to set the heating with a computer (?). We then started having a ventilator of hot air blasting into the room, and the thermostat showed 27C. It was impossible to regulate it. On the way to the restaurant I wanted to speak to the receptionist who was busy, and deliberately ignored me. On our return there was nobody there. We had a very uncomfortable night trying to turn down the heating - which was directly over my bed. The next day I complained to the receptionist who said she would speak to the director - and as we left we were given a bottle (or rather half) of wine. I wish that I had declined. An apology would have been more appreciated. Altogether a very disappointing stay.
