  : The only nice part about this place is the landscape. NOTHING ELSE.
  : The place is in the middle of nowhere and if you get there in the evening it's hard to find. Of course thanks Google maps... The staff is inexistent, no management, nobody at all and of course they are completely unresponsive when enquiries are sent over the booking.com app. Some of the staff showed up at breakfast. They didn't speak any English at all and hardly said good morning. When we got back to our room on the second evening, they had not even redone the bed (it was really just about pulling a blanket onto the mattress!!). Breakfast consists of a few overly sugary, out-of-the freezer sweets some biscuits and very little healthy wholesome food: not remotely the kind of breakfast one would expect from a 4* hotel. The place is not sound-proof, so you hear EVERYTHING. By that I mean every step anyone takes anywhere (and floors DO creak!!) and even if someone is sitting in the hall and whispering, that can be heard. The toilet had a terrible smell coming off the sewage manhole on the floor: it was unbearable. The coffee machine in the room was not working. The heating in the bathroom could not be turned off, so the room was tropically hot and there was only one window that could be just about cracked open to let some fresh air in. Small uncomfortable pillows.The only thing about this place that remotely resembles a 4* is the price. Tourist trap to be avoided at all costs.

  : They listened to previous reviews, there was a microwave and large fridge for storing food. We had the lodge to ourselves in the evening as other guests arrived late. The breakfast selection was fantastic, despite there only being a few people staying there was an abundance of food and beverages. TV in the room had Netflix on it and the hot tub has great views of the surrounding mountains
  : Rooms are basic but I think this is standard for Iceland

  : very noisy with thin walls. you could hear everything! luckily the other in our hall were relatively quiet and respectful. breakfast room very crowded.
