  : Location is good. Flexibility is giving the keys.
  : Noisy - all the rooms are facing the main road. The terrace (to the road) is not private - everyone can access to your terrace from common stairs (Booking description is not accurate). It was not very clean.

  : The apartment was great: comfortable, clean and in a lovely location. It was spacious and kitchen was well equipped. The balcony and view towards the canal was simply lovely and a short walk to restaurants and beach. Check in process was smooth and Maria was a lovely and caring host. Couldn't have asked for anything more, we would recommend and we would stay again!

  : Great view from the kitchen/diner. The owner was nice enough but although she was helpful and got us some towels and tea towels along with an ironing board. all of these things should be in place already and the building should be checked properly before guests arrive.
  : It smelt of dog and the bed linens were all old and smelt like they had been left in a cupboard on the roof for months. They were all different types and none smelt as though they had just been washed. The french doors which open to the view over the canal were filthy both inside and out. The left hand door was jammed shut and could not be opened. There was various damage to the floor and the doors etc and the whole place looked very tired. Given this was April (very early in the season), no maintenance appeared to have been carried out over the winter months. We purchased fabric conditioner and air fresheners to try and mask the smell of dog and try and make the bed clothes etc smell of something fresh. The bedside table lamp didnt have a lamp in it, the chairs left on the balcony (black zero gravity chairs) were greasy/rusty and stiff and probably should be thrown away before someone hurts them self sitting in them. There was building work going on next door to the balcony all week (very close). Not anyones fault though, just annoying. The shower was unusable a lot of the time. It would start to work and then splutter and pretty much stop due to others in the building using their showers (probably) but not nearly enough water pressure. This was in the en-suite. The other shower over the bath in the 2nd bathroom didnt hang up as the holster or pole had been broken off and not replaced. There was no shower curtain either. Good for washing your dog!! In summary the whole apartment (top floor) was in need of maintenance and a new cleaner. Tip: make use of the solarium area. It could be so nice up there with a couple of loungers and some planting, oh and fix the washing machine cupboard door on the roof as it is locked open and swings and bangs in the wind. The washing machine is in the photos so it appears there is one in the apartment. It is upstairs on the roof in a cupboard. If there is a washing machine then why would there not be an ironing board??

  : The host Maria was really communicative and friendly. She can speak several languages, including English and Spanish. The apartment has an amazing view over the canal, but it's a fairly quiet street so there is not a lot of traffic noise. From the apartment it takes about 10 minutes of walk to reach the beach (where the main food spots are).
  : The apartment was very cold, and lacked of small touches to make the stay more pleasant: for instance, hand soap, bath maths, toilet paper.. The bed was made without any sheets, and we had to remake it (as well as add layers of covers). There wasn't even a trash bag. The apartment is not accessible, as there are 2 flights of stairs and no lift.

  : Most of all we enjoyed the view. You are directly in the front of the water, the window in the dining room is very wide and opens completely. Both bedrooms have separate bathrooms, which was also good as we were 5. The owner was a nice lady who met us to show the rooms and leave a key. We had an impression that she just started renting out these apartments (they are several in the building) and cares a lot.
  : We arrived and found out that there is no soap and toilet paper. We asked for it, but got only toilet paper. It was said that we should buy the soap ourself. Strange to hear something like this after Covid when we were used to wash our hands regularly. There were also no hand towels, only bath towels. We asked for them, too, first received a negative answer. We did not insist, but the next day the owner brought us them. The kitchen is old and it smells odd. Sheets were so used that they looked dirty, but they were not. Pillows are very old, too. Dishes were not really clean, but there is a rule to leave an apartment only after washing all dishes and taking out garbage. There is no dishwasher and garbage point is not really on the corner. There is a capsule coffee machine, but no capsules. We got a pack of different capsules the next morning. Why there were not there initially? There was also a 50 eur deposit, which was the strangest thing ever. The owner did not check the apartment, did not check the cleanliness of cutlery or whatever, so we did not understand, why we were asked for the deposit. We got it back, but it spoiled our impression. I am writing this long review to ensure that next travellers would have much better stay, as all in all it was good place for stay and we enjoyed Empuriabrava.
