  : The room and shower room were clean. Good choice at breakfast.The receptionists were very friendly and most helpful.
  : Hotel is a little dated. We only just managed to get the last parking space, otherwise that would have been a big problem for us.

  : Lovely Georgian style room and comfortable large bed. Quiet area and the room had TV and WiFi etc. We thought it was overall a good place to stay. The bathroom had been tastefully added to the room, in keeping with Georgian style decor. Good number of restaurants nearby and walking distance to Holyrood Park.
  : Was a little too far out of town - had to get buses every day although these are regular. The area looked a bit studenty. Could do with a little TLC in certain areas with the decor and fixtures & fittings - Newington room. There were only fresh croissants one day out of the five! Was a bit stingey as this was advertised and there was only awful packaged ones. There were no teaspoons at breakfast which was extremely odd! Also not enough tables to accommodate guest numbers.

  : Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast (although there was no hot alternatives available) was continental, good selection of fruit, meats, cheese, pastries and cereals available. Good location, frequent bus service to the city a short walk away. Walking took around 25 minutes.
  : Booking.com has this hotel labelled as 4star. This is very misleading and does not meet the standards of other 4 star hotels we have stayed in. There is no lounge. We booked a Superior Double room located on the ground floor, we were allocated room on the first floor (stairs are currently difficult for my wife), the room was passable at best with little hanging space in the wardrobe (4 hangers). The wardrobe and other drawers were dirty and the shaver socket in the bathroom did not work. One of the sockets by the bed was broken. In our opinion the room / bathroom required a deep clean (dust on shelves and ledges). Would we recommend this hotel NO. Would we stay here again NO.
