  : The hotel is set in a lovely area and you can see clearly there is a lot of upgrading taking place. Food was nice, rooms were clean and staff were great.
  : The rooms were far too hot and we couldn’t sleep both nights we were there. The only window was in the roof and you can’t leave it open in the rain. That’s if you can reach it, I couldn’t. Better quality fans or air con is needed. The fan in the room was useless and the only plug is on the floor which didn’t help. There is a lovely big desk in the room for working on but no plug anywhere near it so couldn’t actually work on my laptop at the desk and had to go out the room to work which isn’t what you expect at a 4* hotel. The tea and coffee tray also couldn’t be used on a table because the only plug was on the floor by the door and I didn’t fancy making a cup of coffee on the floor. Woken up very early with workmen making a racket. The hotel should be warning guests there is renovation work going on and the tradesmen’s need to respect guests might be sleeping early in the morning.

  : My recent stay at hotel was extremely disappointing, to say the least. From the moment we arrived, our experience was marred by poor and impolite behavior from the reception staff. Upon check-in, we encountered an unwelcoming attitude that set a negative tone for our entire stay.We had a few simple requests, but the reception staff were entirely unhelpful. On two occasions, they even cut off our phone conversations abruptly. This level of rudeness and lack of customer service was shocking.To celebrate our anniversary, I had pre-booked a dinner at the hotel's restaurant and arranged for a bottle of fizzy drink to be placed in our room at 5:30 PM. When we returned to the hotel, not only was our room not tidied or cleaned, but our special arrangements were completely ignored. This negligence ruined our celebration.When we brought these issues to the reception's attention, the response was nothing short of aggressive and impolite. The manager, rather than addressing our concerns with empathy and professionalism, was equally unhelpful and dismissive. This lack of care and respect from the staff completely ruined our holiday and special occasion.I have never experienced such poor service and unprofessional behavior in any hotel before. Our stay at this hotel was a major disappointment, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant and accommodating experience.

  : Great quality hotel, room was excellent spacious and good view over the grounds. Food (when you can get it - see below) was excellent.
  : One of our party was running late and would miss dinner. We weren't able to get any food for them to have when they arrived, despite the rest of us being there before the dinner service ended and making the request when we ordered our own meal. We only asked for a bread roll and it was as if we'd requested something exotic. 3 times we asked (as the staff kept changing) and were told they didn't know how to request such a thing on the (computer) system (which kind of blew my mind!), and finally on our 3rd attempt that 'the chef has cleaned down all the surfaces and nothing else would be coming out of the kitchen today'! but nuts and crisps are available in the bar. It didn't spoil our stay, but was a bit disappointing for a hotel of this calibre, usually you expect this sort of request to be no trouble at all and if bread rolls are not available then an alternative suggestion would have been appreciated. I would expect that someone could have rustled up a cold sandwich/snack at least for a guest of the hotel.

  : After our meal in the dining room wee went through to get our coffees in the bar area and Barman gave us a thing to sign which wee thought was for the coffees and signed without checking but when settling the bill there was Lasagne and three teas which after our dinner was not our bill The receptionist and manager said your signed for it so you need to pay it Pretty poor not handled appropriately
