  : We had a room upgrade - offered, not asked for, and had a lovely room with fabulous views over the sea and old town. The facilities in the Grand Villa Argentina - easily accessible across (in October certainly) a quiet, one way road - were great with plenty of comfortable places to sit and read, look at the views etc. Breakfast had a good range of food. Pool area by the sea was great with a very helpful member of staff providing sunbeds and towels. We had late night drinks on the terrace by the Victoria restaurant (which is actually in the Villa Orsula next door but linked) looking down to the old town which was perfect. We walked to the old town at least once a day - the hotel is convenient - and lovely views along the way.
  : The coffee at breakfast - provided in pots - was usually cold or lukewarm and very strong. Signage to the pool area could be better - we didn't realise the larger lift went to floor 0 and this was how you accessed the pool and sea side area until we'd used the other lift and gone to floor 1, then down the stairs and noticed the tunnel people were walking into to go back up to the hotel! Not a problem for us but guests should be aware that there are steps up to the ground floor rooms of the villa and then steps within the villa to 1st and 2nd floor rooms with no lift in the villa Glavic itself. A small point but on the morning of our check out all the rooms in the villa were bring cleaned and staff were shouting from room to room - as we were leaving not a problem but if we'd been staying on and relaxing or sleeping in our room this wouldn't have been great.

  : Perfect location for exploring Old Town. Room had a balcony & view of both sea, Lokrum and Old Town. Staff very friendly, helpful & attentive. Room well stocked & able to use facilities at main hotel was a bonus. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice & a stunning view.
  : Room a little noisy overnight due to something mechanical clunking in the ceiling. Not worth switching rooms & losing the view for.

  : Superb location close to centre but using the facilities of Hotel Argentina. Villa Glavic is traditional and still has a real sense of doing things properly with good service
  : With traditional you also get old and things like lack of lifts and aged carpets are somewhat to be expected, as are more traditional bathrooms, however this is more than compensated by the view and the quality of the furnishings and service

  : We were upgraded and did not stay at Villa Glavic but at the main hotel (Argentina) across the street. We had an ocean view room and the view was amazing. The staff was great and the breakfast was excellent. It is close to the old city. Only wish the weather was a little better so I could have used the pool more.
