  : Great location in the port area (Gruz) minutes from bus station and ferry port. Plenty options of supermarkets, restaurants and chemists close by. Good local bus connections and local ioperators for island excursions available allong port side. 30 min walk into 'old town" and 20 mins to Lapad beach. Room was a good size with air con, plenty wardrobe space, comfortable bed, TV and lovely hot shower and toiletries. Our room was on floor 2 next door to the well equipped kitchen and at the back of the hostel, which was nice and quiet. Rooms for a hostel were a better standard as many hotels and very clean and offered a good working lift.
  : Unfortunately the room doors operated with a electronic key card system. We unpacked and settled into our room before venturing out. On leaving the room we closed the door and although the panel display on the outside wall indicated the door was locked I double checked to find that the door could be pushed open with the key card. I tried slamming the door shut to ensure it had closed properly but it still could be pushed open. We reported this to the reception staff who came up to our room and 'locked' the door. I suggested he tried to open it and it did for him also. He had numerous attempts to sort this but in the end offered us a move to an alternative room. We decided to test the key card and door of this room prior to moving all our unpacked luggage etc. The staff member had kindly upgraded us to a nice front corner room (double aspect) with sea view but unfortunately we had the same problem with the door not locking so decided to stay in our existing room as we were already unpacked. Through our 3 nights stay we heard on many occassions people slamming their room door multiple times and assume they had the same problem. We had no bother over the 3 nights and our room was OK while we were out.
