  : Harry's Beach House is located at 300 Gulf Shore Drive 302, Destin, FL 32541. It's a very quiet section of beach. This condo is far removed from the big high-rise hotels with hundreds of beachgoers. The waves are dampened by the jetty rocks. There is zero undertow and our 20 month old daughter was able to walk along the shoreline without fear of big waves. In the condo, the stacked washer/dryer was great for doing loads of laundry everyday. The living room and kitchenette were nice. The parking lot gate and frontdoor keypad worked great, and it was easy to get in and out. RealJoy sent e-mails and texts with information to check-in with keypad info. The condo complex has two carts to unload your luggage which is a must to get to the third floor. The closest grocery store was Winn Dixie. If you ask, they'll give you the member discount since many vacationers come from places without a Winn Dixie. For lunch and dinner, Merlins pizza was delicious, as well as, The Back Porch. Also Stinky's Fish Camp (don't let the name fool you) makes a killer shrimp po'boy. Harry's provided a nice relaxing vacation.
  : It's a bit of a hike to the beach about 130 yards from the condo to the shore through the sand dunes. At first it looks like you'll have this huge expanse of beach all to yourself, but there's a big hotel Emerald Grande at HarborWalk which shuttles over their guests every hour to this section of beach. We brought a pop-up umbrella canopy since RealJoy couldn't tell us who the rental service was for this section of beach. During our stay, I discovered you can rent an umbrella from the Emerald Grande beach service guys for $20/day. They have a rental stand right there on the beach. I believe an umbrella and two chairs cost $60/day.The condo needs better doormats to brush the sand off your feet before entering the condo. There was so much sand on the floor in the condo that you felt like you were still on the beach. We vacuumed multiple times during the week so we wouldn't get sand in the bed. The shower by the pool gate to clean off is in the sand. So you wash your feet off while standing in sand and then still have sand all over your feet. The stove/oven doesn't work very well. I'm not sure why an oven takes 20mins to preheat, but this one does. The fridge probably needs to be replaced too. The freezer worked fine, but the fridge didn't keep food as cool as I'd expect. There were two TVs and luckily we brought our Firestick to watch shows late at night. I hate signing into my accounts on other people's TVs and luckily Firestick was a way around that. The condo doesn't have any cable service except the TV's built-in PlutoTV which has little to choose from.
