  : Friendly staff, beautiful exterior, great location and really fairly priced.
  : My room had not been cleaned when I arrived (though I was sent to it) so I was given a different room with 2 single beds pushed together to make one double bed but one of the 2 beds was broken.

  : A grand building in a central location, this hotel has all the appearance of somewhere that could be very good - and when I arrived, I was certainly excited about the stay. However, on almost all the details under the surface the hotel either felt old and outdated, or cheap and cutting corners. Fine for a 1 night stay on my own, not sure about more than that.
  : Breakfast cold selection very poor - messy table, just basic cereal and boxed juice. By contrast, the hot breakfast was good. Served in a large, impressive dining room, the actual content of breakfast didn't live up to its surroundings.The bedroom was similar - tall ceilings in a historic room, but a very soft bed and lots of chipped and peeling paint, and some grime (mould?), on the bathroom ceiling. Small changes, like a touchup and coat of new paint, could go a long way. Very strange experience asking for some water at the bar downstairs - which had the lights, ambience and volume of a drinking bar or club. The water itself was all plastic bottles, which is disappointing in 2023.
