  : There is no breakfast at all. When we asked for breakfast from the host, she said this is a 'home away from home', in another word, buy your own drinks, cleaning products, or breakfast and do everything yourself and make yourself at home. If you are used to a maid at home, sorry she is on holiday. Lovely property though.
  : We were told that they accept cash for payment, however my credit card was debited for the full amount of our stay 4 days before we arrived. However this place is not easy to find. We were sent to a dead end road by Google. Finally managed to find the property. The house was so hot that we cannot breath. I specifically asked if there is any air-conditioning at this property two weeks before and the owner said there are two air conditioner on site. However, we found out that one is in the basement where the owner live and the other one in the corridor where it is suppose to blow in to the two bedrooms if you open the door. We were two couples, meaning we have to open the door to sleep at night. After an hour the temperature was still at 31 degree. We hardly can breath inside. They do not even have a fan. We went to the supermarket to purchase our drinks and breakfast supply and they do not have even kitchen paper or serviettes. And there is no kettle. After grocery shopping around 4 p.m. on our way back to the property the only road to the property was closed due to a Festival. We have to circle around and finally have to convince an police to let us through to get back to the property. They have a lovely terrace but me and the other lady are allergic to mosquitoes so we cannot eat outside. We barely have appetite to eat in the humid and hot oven. After a shower (which the water pressure is terrible), we are all wet again. Me and my husband has to move out the next day and left the other couple all by themselves though we know there is no refund. Owner is not helpful and only found out AC was out of order the second day after they accuse us pressing the wrong button or dropping the remote. Even when they fix the AC, it only blows into one room. You are only given one set of towels no matter how long you are staying. Bring your own beach towel. Beach is walking distance but a bit sloppy.

  : Clean, very nice terrace, big house, kitchen with amenities. Very welcome owner, very easy to communicate via messages. Free parking in the front door.

Disappointing

  : We did not really "like" much, but the place was okay - except for the many things we did not like (see above).
  : The atmosphere was very stuffy and weird to us - both because of the interaction with the owners and the location, which seemed like a ghost village of row holiday houses (off season in October). But the worst for us was to witness how cruel the dog of the house was treated, locked away outside on a small parking spot all day long and also at night during a very heavy storm. The hosts said they locked it away because it would have fought with our dog - however, we can't quite believe this and it also does no justify to lock a dog away for over two days (and probably often) completely alone and unsafe. This is considered in our evaluation, but does not make everything of it. Also because of the interaction with the owners (cold and not welcoming), the comfort of the apartment (very old furniture, smelly blankets), the location (beach nearby not suitable for entering/swimming because too rocky, surrounding area not suitable for nice walks, no good restaurants/bars within 10 minutes drive etc.) we give only 4 points. Laundry service is not provided as promised, but the hosts recommend a laundry in Custonaci (10-15 minutes drive), were we could care about our laundry ourselves. Overall we did not feel comfortable. When we think of the animal cruelty we witnessed, we would rather give zero points. It is very hard to give such a bad evaluation, but it must be in this case. If you do not care about other living beings, you can stay here - otherwise we rather recommend to stay in San Vito Lo Capo (beautiful!! 30 minutes drive).

  : Mary and her husband were really nice and kind people. I cant blame them for our disappointment. The house was cute and have a nice garden. The property was clean and tidy.
  : I have a couple of things to tell about the property and location.First; the pool was nice but it was full of mosquitoes on it, also we were not informed about buying a cap before arrival. As there is not big supermarkets around, we couldnt find caps to buy around. Also, the pool wasnt available all the time, 4 days of 7, it was covered as Mary claimed there was a problem.Also, while we were still in the garden, garden irrigation started working suddenly and we got wet. It happened a couple of times and we couldnt use the bigger garden sofas as the cushions were all wet. Also, an elderly lady took one of the chairs when we were there without the courtesy of asking.I actually cared about the pool as the beaches near the property wasnt good enough for swimming. Nearby beaches were super rocky and the sea wasnt calm enough. The sandy side of beaches were full of dirt. I was expecting a nice sandy beach but you have to drive half an hour to find nice clean beaches.Additionally, there wasnt enough towels for a week, and there is no washing machine to wash the dirty towels. There was no welcoming pack such as tea, coffee, sugar, vinegar etc. So, if this is a holiday house there has to be a washing machine. Or if this is a bed and breakfast, there has to be a welcoming pack. The property is neither of them.Also, this might be all about Sicily, but still worth to mention. Cornino was a small town and when we go out for lunch, we couldnt find a nice restaurant around.There is no nice place to have a brunch or a fancy restaurant at all. They were selling few sandwiches or few slices of pizza, thats it.There is a small supermarket nearby, but the staff tried to fool us about the prices about some alcoholic drinks. We had to go another supermarket in Custonaci, which is quite far by walking. There was also no nice walking area for an relaxing evening walk while you are having your gelato.
