  : I booked a room at this hotel because 5 other families on our baseball team booked with them. When I arrive, it looked extremely sketchy but the other families stated their rooms were nice on the inside so I went ahead and checked in. We got room 105 after being asked if I wanted a smoking or non smoking room in which I replied non smoking , the manager handed me the key and remote. Then I went to my baseball family, who was at the back on the motel and a few ball moms walked with me to the front where I was assigned and the moment I opened the door smoke smell hit us in the face! I have an asthmatic son so that was not going to work. There was paint chips on the floor that appeared to have come off the ceiling and the room had not been updated like the rest of them had. The room still had the old carpet in it and it looked like they slapped some paint on the walls and updated some lighting and called it done. I sat outside the room talking with the ball family and searching for another room because everyone in town was booking up quickly. I finally found a room so I went back to the front desk and explained to the manager that we could not stay in the room due to the smell. The manger got visibly irritated and stated there was no other room available so I then asked for a refund because my son could not stay in a room that was so filled with smoke smell. The manager then called me a liar telling me that they have a machine that cleans the air and there is no way it smells of smoke in which I told him I’m not the only one who smelled it. He then said yea ok whatever there is nothing I can do for you. I had to threaten to call the BBB before he finally gave me my refund. I told him I would gladly walk to the room with him for him to smell it himself in which he replied he wouldn’t be doing that. He most deff knew that room stunk like that!
