  : Not really a dislike, but a kind of wet carpet smell in room, not a huge problem, and maybe because it was one of the dog friendly rooms

  : A lovely older property that looks beautiful on approach via the entry to the car park at the front of the hotel. Spacious sitting room, bar and breakfast room, cosy bedroom with tea/coffee making facilities, TV, very comfortable bed and nice little ensuite bathroom/WC.
  : Only a small point as the hotel is lovely and the breakfast and service excellent - the shower was inoperative due to a leak from a faulty hose near the control unit and the hose fixing neck on the handset was larger than the socket on the holding bracket - as we arrived late in the evening for a social function nearby and were returning to the hotel in the early hours - we had showered at home before setting off and returned home the following morning where we could shower, so this was not a major problem and would be unfair to the owners to expect them to remedy the shower so late; had we arrived earlier and been staying longer then we would’ve addressed this - but we let the owners know the shower needed fixing prior to our departure and would certainly stay there again.

  : The poached egg at breakfast was perfectly cooked. There was a bath in the en-suite.
  : The bed was too small for two people and the mattress very soft. The duvet was thin and too small for the bed, inadequate. I had to cover myself with bath towels to keep warm. Restless & uncomfortable.The room was stark and joyless.
