  : A lovely hotel on the outskirts of a village, we had a balcony room overlooking a beautiful lake, breakfasts were good continental type with plenty to choose from. Dinners were excellent, the set menu of 4 courses was so good we decided to eat in every evening. Rooms were basic but very comfortable and clean. The Dinosaur museum in Condat is well worth a visit.

  : If you can ignore the main road behind you the position by the lake is almost perfect. All the bedrooms had recently been redecorated and ours was clean, well laid out and comfortable with a view over the lake (but ask for a room on the first floor, as there is no lift). The food was excellent, imaginative and well cooked, and the dining room - unusually for a French hotel - was very well arranged and had a nice atmosphere
  : In the picture the hotel by the lake looks idyllic, but on arrival the reality is rather different. The front of the hotel is very scruffy and untidy, and would put you off if you had not already booked. The terrace by the lake had weeds growing in the cracks, the grassed area was unkempt and littered with cigarette ends, and some of the outdoor furniture was broken. All the effort had gone into the inside of the hotel sat the expense of the outside, which detracted from the overall impression.

  : The view from the room/balcony was amazing, a beautiful lake surrounded by forest. Very peaceful place, perfect for a break away from the busy city life! The food was very good too, and the staff very helpful and super nice!

  : We had a balcony overlooking the lake watching the evening sun setting which was nice bit of relaxation before dinner. They were accommodating of our two dogs. The hotel restaurant was not cheap but excellent quality and they catered for vegetarians on request.
  : They were very busy which meant you had to be a little patient. But we weren't in a hurry.
