Disappointing
Traveller Type: Solo Traveler
: The location suited me as I had a late train from England and needed a stopover on my trip to Portugal
: I was disappointed by this hotel, firstly and possibly the reason this hotel was so poor is that there is a brand new hotel next door (a B&B hotel)When I arrived the car park was great, I arrived at reception and the receptionist was pleasant but within a few moments I was advised by another member of staff who spoke some english that the TV in my room didnt work. (Why is it in France that english is almost an unknown language at hotels?) I managed to wrangle a free beer in exchange for the TV issue. The room at first appeared ok but quickly I discovered that the AC didnt work, the bathroom was full of mould and the bed felt like a slab of concrete. In the morning a hope of a decent breakfast that I paid an extra 20 for was a joke, undercooked potato rostis, luke warm powdered eggs and dead bacon or cold croissants was just about all that was on offer.I left it half eaten, and I forgot the most important bit - no wi-fi in the room which as a business traveler was unheard of for me in todays world.106 for a night better spent next door
