  : Very little. My wife and I are in our 60s and have travelled to many parts of the world. This is by far the worst hotel we have ever stayed. We were booked to stay five nights at over 600 euros a night and stayed two. Although we lost a lot of money we were happy to leave.
  : If you don’t want your stay to include bedside cabinets, a wardrobe, air conditioning, a proper bed, an adequate shower room, a decent buffet style breakfast, a coffee machine in the room and any form of snacks outside of breakfast, then this is the place for you.

  : Beautiful building in a quiet location, not far from the city.
  : The room was very basic, with little storage space for clothing. We were in an attic room, fifth floor with one small window. Fairly stuffy as there’s no air con and I’d assume that down to the age of the building. Quite uncomfortable to sleep in. No tea or coffee facilities in the room.

  : No AC. It was way too hot. Annoying water dripping noise from upstairs . Staff explained that it is a long term issue.

  : This is a beautiful building as has been said, and the gorgeous, quiet location was perfect for us. There is a friendly local bar on the corner, and it's about 8 minutes walk from a great street of more diverse restaurants. But most importantly, the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. My husband was unfortunately and very unexpectedly hospitalised during the visit, and the receptionist called her mother (a nurse) and gave us a complete rundown of all the local hospitals so we could pick an excellent one for his needs. Other staff were also helpful in trying to accommodate our more ordinary needs (see below.)
  : Given what we were paying, I would have expected there to be at least one comfortable sitting chair in the room, as well as a desk chair. The person at reception did at least get us a second desk chair, which worked well since the "desk" was in fact quite a large table so we could both work at it, but there was still nowhere to sit in a relaxed way – except the public library on the second floor which was great but no one told us about it, I only found it by accidentally after a couple of days, by going up the wrong set of stairs which skipped our first floor. The windows also aren't all that soundproof, but the neighbouring businesses really do get quiet by 10pm and there's no cars back by the hotel so that really does work, unlike some places. Also there is no shaving/makeup mirror, and the hangers in the closet were so high I could barely reach them, and I am above average height for a woman, so many of my friends and my mother in law would have had no way to hang things up! It was kind of a clever use of too little space, but they maybe need to include a small step ladder in the room. And the breakfast was WAY too expensive for what it was, but there is nowhere nearby open earlier than 8:30am (except one place with only coffee & croissants; we prefer some fibre e.g. müsli.) I think overall it's a nice place with great potential, but they could fix a few things and drop the cost of their breakfast. Still, I might to back again, and we do love Cologne.

  : No air conditioning which, for a 300 euro a night, is not acceptable.

  : I was a solo traveller so I picked a single room, in this case there's are in the loft of the building. It's quite a cold hotel as in no feeling of warmth.. it's sparsely staffed. I don't think I saw the bar open

  : Great architecture.
  : Extremely overpriced. No basic amenities in room - coffee/aircon. Terrible location. One of worst value for money hotels I have ever experienced.
