  : Liked the setting, very spacious, lovely gardens. staff attentive.
  : very hot and noisy dining in the conservatory in the evening as it was full to capacity therefore not a pleasant experience.My bedroom overlooked a private dwelling therefore had to keep curtains closed for privacy. The room was above the function room which was noisy when there were groups of people in it. Fortunately it did not go on until late so I was able to rest when everyone had gone. Waking up every morning at 5.45 with taps running for a short time.Upon looking at the mattress on my departure it was badly stained and looked as though it had been there for some years.It made me feel queasy thinking I had slept on that bed for 2 nights.The rooms badly need of a refurb, ceiling paint peeling off and shower rail very loose.

  : Enjoyed the setting as good for walking locally.
  : My room, the curtains very flimsy letting light in and window did not open properly to let air in. Very noisy in my room in early hours of morning due to room being above the kitchen.Found 2 bottles underneath the bed therefore had not been cleaned thoroughly, which made me wonder how clean everything else was.

  : The Calf`s Head has an attractive large garden , plenty of tables for outdoor eating ( weather permitting ) plus a largerestaurant conservetory. The restaurant food was excellent value, extensive menu and delicious. Room and bathroom clean and comfortable.
  : Excellent serving staff for breakfast, nothing too much trouble but we would prefer a buffet breakfast.
