  : I had a lovely one-night stay at The Old Store Guest House. They have a self check-in approach and my room key and everything I needed was there on arrival. I still felt very welcomed and after a long day of travelling, it was nice to just arrive and settle in myself with some peace and quiet. The house is gorgeous, clean, well-kept and decorated with love. Continental breakfast was lovely, appreciated the french press filter coffee. My single room was clean, comfy and cosy, had everything I needed. The location is quiet on/near the Goodwood Estate, 15 mins outside Chichester but a few minutes walk from a great pub/restaurant where I had a delicious dinner, and in the morning it was lovely to go for a run along the country roads. I will definitely stay again if in the area.
  : My single room was on the 1st floor so I had to carry my quite large suitcase up a small-ish staircase so perhaps a pre-warning in the welcome notes, but it was to be expected in an old country house.

  : I dont want to appear negative. However, there were a few niggles. Booking.com is unclear about breakfast, not advising that only continental is available during the week. We had thought that there would be cooked breakfast available. No ventilation for the room, so very stuffy on a very hot day - not even a fan to use. The room was not quiet, being on a fairly busy road, although an attempt to cure this had been made with two sets of secondary double glazing - which i was not able to open for fresh air. There is a pump of some kind, the other side of the wall for the bathroom, which periodically fired up for a few seconds throughout the night, waking us both. Lovely shower, but he shower tray felt like it was going to collapse, being very flexible in the middle. We straddled the flexy section, by standing with our feet towards the edges of the tray.

  : The property was a nice conversion from the old building and the room was clean
  : The room was on the second floor and until we asked for heating was very cold. Breakfast had to be pre-ordered but the first morning it was served lukewarm and second we had to wait over 30 mins and were accompanied by posts used by a previous guest than had not been cleared. Two large tables provided for guests to be mixed on the same table - we prefer our own rather than communal dining.

  : the breakfast was very good and we received a very friendly wecome, the bathroom also very clean and roomy , the only diappointment was the traffic on the road being noisy somthing we are not used to.
