: Great location , better value for money than a lot of hotels nearby . good size flat with a cute little courtyard . Smart tv with netflix.
: We had a hard time finding the place, the address on google maps sends you down tiny one-way streets and the owner only sent us a screenshot rather than a geolocation we could navigate. When you've never been there, a tiny picture of a street really doesn't help at all. The parking spot advertised in the listing is actually something you have to pay for ( think around 7/ day ), and it is 10 min walk uphill from the flat, all needing to be paid in cash when checking in. Very spartan accommodation, quite old and very basic furniture. The sofa is very uncomfortable ( student convertible type), the mattress of the bed in the bedroom is way too soft and worn out. The bathroom is very basic and a bit run down. No microwave, limited kitchen equipment, hardly any dishes, and utensils. The host was just about welcoming, we found 2 giant cockroaches in the bathroom and the entrance, the host was adamant we were lying (why?) and we had to send them pictures only for them to blame it on the weather and be told that there was nothing they could do while we were there. No soundproofing at all, the flat below us checked out one morning and the cleaners woke us up at 9 am making lots of noise, banging chairs and furniture. You can hear all the conversations from everyone in the building. Overall, they know that Cernobbio is a popular destination and you can tell they really don't have to make an effort to improve the comfort of the flat to get bookings. It's a good budget option compared to the hotels nearby but don't be fooled by the pictures and reviews, you get what you pay for: a budget basic place to stay.
