  : Piero from Magione del Re displayed exceptional kindness and hospitality. He communicated with us four days before our arrival and provided us with helpful information regarding transportation. Upon our arrival, Piero welcomed us and guided us to our room, offering explanations and assistance. Our stay at Magione del Re was delightful, and we enjoyed ourselves. The breakfast was great, not to mention the sweets. The lady at breakfast was incredibly kind, with a beautiful smile. We extend our gratitude to Piero and the entire team at Magione del Re for making our stay a great one.

  : The room was nice enough, bed was comfy. Location was very good for exploring the city. We parked in the street outside overnight x2 and did not have any problems, and although not used by us its good that there is a locked garage next to the apartment - although it was not open when we arrived (midday sunday). Host accomodated us being early and room was made early for us without a fuss.
  : Although close to the city, this location felt unsafe - heavy locks on all doors in the neighbourhood (4x independant dead bolted doors between the roomand the outside world - nice to know its hard to get into, but makes you wonder why is this necessary?), poor lighting, grafiti and rubbish all over the street (grated this is not unique for Catania). Front desk attendant did not speak english - minor issue solved with google translate, we were probably just unlucky that day. Breakfast was very dull, especially given the quality of fruits, pastries and baked goods in the city/Sicily in general. Constant noise of a compressor/pump/whistling throughout the both nights.

  : The room was large and roomy and clean. The a/c worked well. The breakfast was excellent. You are provided a paper with choices for breakfast, select the time to eat and report in the morning with it all laid out for you. I usually drink cappuccino; however, the American coffee was so good I had it every morning. Also, an easy walk to city center and Via Etnea.
  : There were intermittent problems with the internet. They did work to get it up and running. There is no lift which is only problem if you have large luggage. The gentleman did carry it up and down for me so all was well.

  : Our room was lovely, spacious with colourful tiled floor, sofa and a comfy bed. The vaulted ceiling was gorgeous. Everything was very clean Staff were all very pleasant, helping this older couple with bags up/down stairs and checking if there was anything we needed. Wifi good.
  : Not too many shops/restaurants in the immediate area but not too far to walk and it felt safe day and night.
