  : Not much to like here outside the location which was much safer than other parts of Barcelona. I chose H10 Art Gallery because I had an amazing stay at H10 Canova in Venice last year (also reviewed). I travel 200 days per year mostly for work, and get to select and stay at top hotels around the world so when I travel for leisure I try to also pick top locations as well, and I’m always on the lookout for good hotels to host work related conferences.H10 Canova in Venice was outstanding, so much that I figured this would be as exceptional due to the fact the original H10 was born in Spain. Unfortunately I was entirely WRONG. Let’s start with the staff, with the exception of a young man with short hair who was at the front desk on weekdays and a 30-something man who was there on weekends, the staff at the front desk was older and oddly unfriendly, for no particular reason. It was uncomfortable to walk past them everyday, as they would deliver dirty looks and an unpleasant demeanor, something I’ve never experienced while traveling, neither for work or leisure.I was traveling with my child and they placed us in room 101 which was next to a cleaning room, so that door was opened and slammed at all hours, from early in the morning till 2 am at times, I booked this stay months ahead of time, not sure why we were placed in probably the worst room of the hotel. As someone who doesn’t sleep well, I was constantly awakened by that slamming door sound. I booked a deluxe balcony room and expected some kind of view, but on the first floor your balcony feels like it’s in a fish bowl and opens up to some large area where any of the other rooms could easily access yours, this upgrade was not properly advertised. Had I understood what I was getting, I would not have upgraded to that.

  : The staff was extra kind and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. Our favourite experience was the breakfast though, so excellent!
  : Could be more coat racks in the room. (We couldn’t hang our beach towels properly)

  : The staff were extremely biased. I experienced guests being served champagne upon arrival/check-in this was not offered to me. Anytime I needed something, they showed how annoyed they were with their facial expressions. From the restaurant staff, to the front desk staff. All rude to me but not other guests. I am a non-Spanish speaking solo traveler and there were micro aggressions my entire stay. I absolutely hated my experience but it was too late to cancel my booking.
