  : The breakfast was very good, and the place has lots of character. One of the two hosts was very jolly and welcoming. They opened the restaurant especially for us - which was lucky as I think everywhere in town was closed!
  : Unfortunately, we visited out of season and were the only guests, so it was a little strange eating alone while the two hosts cooked and watched us eat :-). The second host was rather unhappy and distracted.

  : We knew the property was right in the center of town but we were pleasantly surprised that the property was located in a side street just across the road from the main gates of the old city. We had a room with a little balcony that opened out into the courtyard. The room was spacious, bed was comfortable, heating and fluffy bedcovers to keep us warm through the chilly late January nights. There was plenty of hot water and strong pressure in the shower and a basket of amenities for our stay. Breakfast was quite varied but we stuck to coffee, pastry and fruits. The managers also own a pub/restaurant behind the property (access from a different side street) where they offered authentic, hearty Italian dishes for lunch and dinner - the Gnocchi al Ragu is to die for! We didn't go anywhere else for meals, definitely the best restaurant in Castel del Monte!
  : The exhaust fan in the toilet was a little noisy but when the door is closed it's barely audible. Other than that, nothing else that we didn't like about the property.

  : The owners are totally amazing people, available to give you recommendations about places to visit or how to organize the trip. We stayed there for only one night but we managed to visit the most important places around. In the evening we went to their bar (following recommendations from previous reviews) and had a huge dinner (not sure that what we ate was in the menu or not, we just let ourselves in their hands and we didn't regret at all). The room was small and cozy, but offered everything we needed and it was very clean. And yes, it can seem a bit strange to have the shower in the room but I had seen it in other places before and in the end I don't see it as a problem if you are a couple.
  : The only thing that I can mention here is not related to the accommodation but to the long waiting times during the dinner in the bar. Maybe they were busier than usual during that evening, but we were there for more than 2 hrs and we gave up in the end to the dessert as we were too tired to wait any longer.
