  : We had a fantastic stay and loved the apartment. It was spotlessly clean, well maintained, and made great effect of the historic building. The grounds are beautiful and attentively cared for, with lots of places to sit and eat. The hot tub is a boon and we spent lots of time in it during the day and on some evenings. Giovanna was around often and bought us lovely produce. Its a 10 minute walk to the local bar, 15 to the local supermarket, and a more ambitious 45 up the hill through vineyards to a restaurant with views across the valley. Florence is easy on the train from the local station (20 min drive). Other parts of classic central Tuscany and the coast are also accessible by car, and Lucca is only 20 mins.The property was a delight and exceeded our expectations, which were already high with so many good reviews.
  : It was exceptionally hot weather during our stay which meant the passive measures struggled to keep the apartment cool - but we managed. A second sofa would be good.

  : Giovanna and Franco are great hosts!, very lovely and very accommodating. La chiusa di nanni is a great base to explore Lucca, Pisa, Florence, and some of the tuscany coast (you must have a car).

  : The property is lovely and in a quiet location. There area is called Segromigno Monte. There is a supermarket (Sigma) nearby as well as a great pastry shop (il Girasole).Giovanna was friendly, approachable and available to answer any questions. She showed us how to use the appliances, including the washing machine.The 2-bedroom apartment was spacious, including the well-appointed bathroom with bidet.
  : The water in the outdoor hot tub could have been hotter. The host did manage to heat it somewhat when I asked, but still not warm enough.The appliances were old. For example, the dishwasher had some rusty prongs, although it cleaned the dishes well.

  : Giovanna was very kind and informative. The house, the garden and surroundings are wonderful. We also really enjoyed the jaccuzzi. The gift of olive oil and cake were delicious.
  : The bed mattresses could be more comfortable.

  : Nice spacious quiet appertment with 2 bedrooms. The beds were great and the whole house was extremely clean and fresh. There was no airco, but there were fans available, but we did not use them because the rooms have high ceilings so it was natural cool. The hot tub was nice in the evening. The location is perfect to visit Lucca, Florence, and the mountains. We did not really stay at the house, only as a basis to visit tuscany.
  : You really need a car to get there, but for us that was fine as we had one.

  : Giovanna the owner was excellent. Very helpful and was able to communicate quite well. Situated on a 400 tree olive farm which was very interesting.
