  : Would have scored a perfect 10 if our room had a sea view. The Boat House is right next to the beach but all we could see was a wall and roof.

  : Located in the heart of Whitstable with it's seaside charm near to shops, restaurants and beach.
  : You would presume that accomodation called The Boat House located near the beach would have a sea view. However double room no 1 is located behind the rooms with sea views and overlooks Sea Wall road. (Despite the photo on the website showing a The rooms have been decorated to a high standard but the soundproofing of the walls are very poor. You can hear the guests next door far too clearly especially the TV which is annoying when you are tired and want to get to sleep. The sink in the bathroom had a faulty plug and water was still in the basin. Despite a call to reception it wasnt fixed (No one was on duty Sunday evening when we checked into the room at 3pm) and I had to fix the problem myself. The light over the wash basin needed a new bulb so it made shaving difficult in half light and other bulbs in the bedroom also had missing bulbs, Despite receiving email confirmation that a parking space would be available for my room I was told on arrival that the room I had booked did not have parking but I could use room 2's space (But would have to move it if they received a booking for it). A fridge with 2 cans of water and 2 cartons of cheap orange juice made a horrible humming noise all night (Silent fridges are available on the market so would be a better option) . The fridge is sealed inside a wardrobe with no airflow so this added etra heat to the room. Horrible nescafe instant coffee and only one sachet of hot chocolate (Why only one??) Not happy paying £110 for a room available from 3pm to 11am the following morning when it failed with faults that could have/should have been rectified. I would have thought it would have been in the 'Fisherman's Huts' interest to have upgraded our room if a better one was available. It did spoil what was supposed to be an overnight treat for my elderly partner and I would seek accomodation elsewhere if I stay in Whitstable again.
