  : Breakfast was fine. I think better organization would make it flow better.
  : Its old and I was expecting some things. But to hear the person upstairs in the bathroom vomiting and other things kinda took my peaceful frame of mind and tossed it out the window.

  : The building itself is very neat and the location is amazing. Our room had a window facing the stream and we heard the rushing water the entire time we were there. The staff were great, there may be no person better suited to his role than Chuck. He is a warm, kind, helpful guy. It's a relatively small place and I bugged him several times and he took it all in stride. They have books! Hundreds if not thousands of books. Common areas where you can meet/talk with other guests which we found has pros and cons but overall was enjoyable. You are mere minutes from some really great hiking trails (we did Shaker Mountain) and the local restaurants are pretty good (Jimmy D's was a pleasant surprise). Overall a very nice stay. We were going to Tanglewoods for a concerts and it's a really convenient drive from there.
  : I'm not (too) high maintenance but there are some have-to-have things I think. The place ran out of hot water at one point. Not a major issue but had I known that was possible due to high-usage I could have planned around it. You don't get a room key. It's a small thing, yeah, but it just makes it so that I'm not comfortable leaving certain things in the room. At least you can lock it from the inside which is nice because they also don't lock the front door. Is that the end of the world? Probably not given the location, it's just different for me and my wife given where we're from. There were also a couple other things I'm reluctant to put down because they're fairly minor and I don't want it to reflect badly on the place or the people who run it. It's a very cool place with an interesting history that has enormous potential. I really do like it but, for what I spent, I'd have preferred an ever-so-slightly more refined experience. Now I know, and can go back with the proper expectations.
