  : In need of refurbishing, layout is bad, especially the kitchen area, too fragmented and easy to hit your head off the wall unit above the bins,Mains extension cables across the cupboard door and floors, sockets in the wrong places, fridge freezer and microwave just inside living room door, my wife walked into them leading her blind sister into the cottage, very badly positioned power outlet below the bathroom sink for the towel rail, windows wouldnt close properly, Campbell cottage in need of a good renovation, dont know about the other cottages but the pictures on the web site certainly dont show this cottage

  : Clean and quiet - exactly what we were hoping for. Good to be able to use the strip meadow for dogs.
  : Nothing - it suited us very well indeed. Query responsiveness at time of booking was excellent. The one rating that I gave as less good was re staff - but only because the caretakers who are usually on site were away. This actually made no difference whatsoever to us and didnt impact our stay - we didnt need to see anyone and know the area well - and we were admittedly left with a number in case we needed anything; however I dont recall being notified in advance and it would have been good to be informed about it. Similarly the very steep stone spiral staircase in the 2 bed cottage may be difficult (or worse) for elderly who have any mobility issues (ditto small children and certainly any pets - but it does have a door to the stairs to prevent unintended access for kids! However the gate at the top of it is quite low)

  : The owners didn't greet us at all. We just once met a man who didn't introduce himself. I hoped we could get milk in this farm because they keep cows but there was nobody to ask .

  : The cottage was excellent: clean and welcoming with all the facilities we needed. The location was perfect for exploring. We loved the privacy but knew our hosts were close at hand if we needed them.

  : Easy to find well sign posted, fantastic outlook all around cottages - very rural & quiet - lovely! Family/genealogy history visit, therefore perfect for the area I needed. Price good, easy booking & dog friendly at no extra cost. Warm comfy & clean throughout, tho looks tired & mismatched in areas. Everything WE needed FOR our 3 day stay & we enjoyed the stay. Information supplied regarding activities, interests, local amenities, take aways & rules re unit ect, all informative & helpful. Unit on 1 level, which I chose due to deteriorating Multiple Sclerosis, I managed well with this, steps from car park but hand rail insitu making this easier to navigate. All in all, I enjoyed this stay despite it not being '1st class' in decor & facilities but that's a personal choice. Towels, kitchen utensils, bedding, wee bowl of CHOCOLATES - which were appreciated THANK YOU.
  : Unit needs upgrading, many extensions leads used throughout 2 bed unit & no plug sockets near side of bed. No mobile phone charging points/sockets, take your own with you. A lot of 'touch ups' required ?due to age of property.
