  : Where to start. Non refundable fee due to what I suspect is an access difficulty to the property which is not properly explained on the booking page. 40 to 50 minute walk from the nearest carpark (not explained properly) or a boat to the property from Camogli (again not explained properly on the booking page) Property is in a state of slow dilapidation with very little general maintenance being carried out.Restaurant has an extremely limited menu with just fish dishes at very high prices. Staff were disinterested and the whole experience was not good value for money.

  : Peaceful, secluded, spectacular location right on the rocky shore. In a few minutes you can jump into the spotlessly clean sea from Punta Chiappa (steep stairs lead down to the sea, a rope aides getting in and out) or hike to San Fruttuoso or Portofino (serious and challenging hikes), or take the local ferry to Portofino or Camogli. Charming old buildings and rooms, good beds, excellent restaurant with fresh seafood. Walking to the place really requires 40 minutes (down from San Rocco parking) or 1 hour back up, and requires good walking shoes and cannot be done with any luggage other than a backpack (narrow uneven path and lots of steep stairs) but it is clearly explained everywhere and cannot be a reason for complaint, and you can take the boat from Camogli or Portofino instead. Even then, wear comfortable shoes and travel very light for the walk up the many steep stairs from the dock to the hotel!
  : The rooms are charming and old, but quite a few details are truly old and really need fixing or refurbishing urgently. Ripped curtains for example are just shabby, not chic. A lot of major renovation in rooms, common spaces and outside spaces is required and some was underway, but it seriously should have been all done and finished during the pandemic year / winter, there was plenty of time for that! Getting food and any other stuff to the place is truly difficult, and was reflected at the restaurant for example, croissants for breakfast and all bread was frozen and baked on site. Pity because there is a great bakery in 20 minute walk or great bakeries in the neighboring towns which should be used to deliver fresh bakery products (focaccia! you can't be in Liguria and next to Recco and not have fresh focaccia delivered!), every day! If guests can reach the place, then fresh food can be delivered to the place every day too. Food at the restaurant was well prepared but very expensive, and offered the exact same few dishes every evening. Even the catch of the day... was the same the following day, literally the same fish. Poor wifi connection. There are no tv's...but there is air conditioning in the rooms, doesn't make sense to me. Ceiling fans would fit much better to the old fashioned room style and would save alot of energy too.

  : Location. Yes, it is incredible to go out and enjoy the little piece of rock and water you have just outside. The hotel provided snorkel, which was great.
  : Beware. For the money you are paying, it won't be what you think.What my wife and I most disliked about this place? Lack of communication and the price.Nobody speaks English in that place. They told us how to get there (kind of, you need to go to their website to figure it out). We knew about getting the expensive taxi boat (50 euros one way) and how to reach them. The problem was to reach them. The phone number didn't work at all. I sent a message at 11:36 in the morning, asked about 7 questions in the next three hours. In the end, the best alternative was to simply walk there. We wanted to be in the hotel at 13:00 but ended up arriving at 17:00 because of this lack of communication. To make things a bit worse, they replied to my message at 18:40 (seven hours later and after we did the check-in already) to simply say they explained how to get to the hotel previously (and yes, I did say the phone number they provided wasn't working)And the price was terrible. Because we don't speak Italian, only English, Portuguese, German, Spanish and a bit of French (nothing was helpful), we didn't know how the breakfast worked. We paid 20 euros per day per person for a lousy omelette and some bread. That's it. Really. In the end we were told we were paying for the "basic breakfast" even though the person in front of the cashier at the check-in couldn't communicate anything to us when we said the word breakfast, petit de jours or even the word caf or coffee.We had to walk to the next restaurant to get food (which wasn't great and also very expensive).All in all, with all honesty, don't come here. Location is ok, but for the price you are paying, you should get treated like a king, and in our case they didn't even explain how to use the sauna or bathtub, we were given the keys of the room and good luck.Stay away from here. My honest opinion and of so many other people who came here too.

  : Great location, decent room and facilities, amazing views and relaxing ambient
  : Quite dirty all considered. Restaurant is awfully overpriced and quality is extremely poor for a resort literally sitting on top of fisherman's boats. Pricy without reason to be, no local staff which tells a lot about it.

  : Location and view is breathtaking. Rooms are perfect. Terraces, vines, fisches in little ponds, zou name it ... Just fabulous !
