La Casona de Betanzos

  : Well La Casona de Betanzos, was located conveniently close to Betanzos, and had parking, so we went for it.
  : All rooms have a theme, ours had half a dusty motorbike on one side of the bed and the other half was on the other side of the bed. The room looked dull and was dusty, and was right on a busy highway. The only ventilation was from the balcony which we had to leave open of course...the noise of speeding cars was infernal. We hardly had room to put our luggage and there was no seating in the room. I had to borrow a plastic chair from the terrace. The bathroom has nowhere to put toothbrushes etc at all, no shelving whatsoever or where to hang a towel. No breakfast available. The person in charge disappeared right after check-in, and was not seen again till we left, so there was no means of communication. I guess we had somewhere to sleep... on a tiny double bed with a very worn out low mattress. We were happy to leave in the morning, There was a coffee machine in the room which had a very dangerous worn out electrical connection, which we did not dare use.

  : Staff went out of her way to make it a comfortable stay.
  : Location is out of town but we were driven into Betanzos in the morning. Room felt cold during the night.

  : Rooms were very musty and dampness of the rooms.
